Shot-blaster Installation
19th September 2012
Marshalls has been shot-blasting its products since November 2011 and we thought it would be interesting to let everyone see how the shot-blaster was installed.
The first stage involved transporting all the parts to Aberdeen, which we did using our own artic lorry. Then came the actual installation of each part; the extractor unit had to be installed outside the building, again using our own lorries and forklifts to manoeuvre the equipment into place.
The inside of the shot-blasting bay also had to have the relevant equipment fitted and the walls lined with rubber to prevent the shot from damaging the building. The photos below highlight some parts of this process.
